Good Book

Interesting indeed. The first few chapters are a bit dry. Ms. King delivers a great argument but I believe it would have been better presented if she would have given a brief lesson on the symbolism so readers can follow her thesis. I liked it, it's a bit complicated for the novice to understand but overall, a good read.

The seller listed this product as being a complete set in good condition. When I got it, all three of the binders were broken, many of the leaflets were torn, and it is not complete at all - there are a large number of leaflets that are missing.

A Great Source of Aircraft Information

I began purchasing these books in 1995 and have the "complete" set of seven books with nineteen chapters as well as a separate guidebook to locate each aircraft by chapter and item number. This is the complete set! I would say that even back in the early nineties, information on a lot of aircraft that is not new today; in this case, the F-22, F-117, A380, 777 to name a few is quite interesting. In my opinion, these books are worth a lot more than what is indicated today. Each aircraft is explained quite thoroughly and for the aircraft "nut", so to speak, he/she would find these books contain a lot of "nice to know" information even though the books are over twenty years old. My books are in pristine condition and complete as I mentioned previously.

Tissues needed!

Ok....

Wow was this an emotional book for me. With the title of being unwanted, of course, it was going to be heartbreaking. Theresa was married to someone she loved with all of her heart and he was only married to her for convenience. Having a deal with her father, who was the most terrible kind of person, he thought she knew about the deal and resented her so much.
She didn't know about it though, she truly loved him.
The way he treated her and made her feel, made me sick. I couldn't imagine being with someone who treated me so awful but I guess she was kind of used to it, with the way her father always treated her.
He hurt her with his words and his rejection. Man, I couldn't go a few pages without tearing up.

Then, when Alessandro learned the truth about his wife and her genuine feelings towards him, it was too little too late for her. I don't know if I would've put up with so much stuff from him but I've also never been in that situation and I guess it would be hard for me to understand what I would put up with, if I truly loved someone as she did Sandro.
I might have backhanded him a time or two, and cheating I could never put up with, no matter what *he didn't do it, but she thinks throughout the story that he did*

It was just heartbreaking, all of it. I did enjoy Sandro's change of heart and i"m glad she made him suffer, trying to win her back. I did, even though I hated myself for it, found myself, feeling sorry him a time or two though...
The ending was perfect, I loved that Theresa got everything she had initially wanted. She more than deserved it.
Great, angsty, heartbreaking yet hopeful story!

A great read! Love conquers all!

So I had two books I had to read. I was ready to start the first. Then I saw a post this book was on sale and I had it on my TBR for a while. I figured I would buy it and read it when I could. Then I looked at reviews. Then I peaked at chapter 1, hours later I had devoured this book. I LOVED it Loved every word.

This was very emotional, angst-filled and heart breaking read. All Theresa ever wanted was to be loved. Cherished. Mean something to someone. And she thought she had found that in her husband,
Alesandro (Sandro), but almost a year and a half later, all she had was a cold husband that barely acknowledged her. Only one demand, a son. Finally deciding she had enough, she was ready to walk away. But Sandra was not letting her go.

Theresa was at once naive and sweet, but once she decided to walk away, you began to see a strength and stubbornness in her that surprised Sandro. You could not help but feel for her.

Sandro on the other hand could be very cruel to Theresa. Slowly he destroyed all the love she had once felt for him. He was definitely a very hateful person at the start, but as he slowly got to really know Theresa, we started to see a different side of him.

Their journey was not an easy one. At times it was heart-wrenching. My heart broke repeatedly as I read this. The feels were so much. A great read, especially if you love angst-filled stories, which I do. I would definitely recommend this one!

First off, the writting was done okay, but... the Story was simply just shallow and stupid. Which women with a little bit of respect for herself would go into a marriage like that? I wondered too many times while reading this Book.

I rolled my Eyes almost the entrie time and every new Page I turne to and read more of it. I only wanted to finish the Story because I hoped for something more in the Story. A Plot that maybe started on the next page. But nothing really happend. I'm not going to spend more Money on Books of that series.

I hate to review like that, I just had to. All in all good witting, I'm not going to say anymore about the plot. Personally I think this Book is way overpriced with 3.99 $

The Definitive Guide for Earning Your Blue & Gold Ticket to Boston

I've run Boston 7 times in 7 years and wish this book had come out 8 years ago. It's not for everyone; no book is going to take you from couch to Boston. But if you've got a decent base of miles and the determination to run the greatest race in the world, I'd recommend letting this book be your BQ Sherpa. The author, Chris Russell, has run Boston 15 or so times . . . he has run it well and he has blown up. That experience, his love for the marathon, his respect for this sacred stretch of pavement and his ability to tell a good tale make this an entertaining and useful read. I've got 50+ running-related books on my shelf and none provide the specific substance and insider tips necessary to bring your physical and mental game to BQ level like this one.

A good plan to help you qualify for Boston

The first time I tried to qualify for Boston, I failed. The second time, I did better, and just made a qualifying time.

The race itself was a struggle. As I neared mile 25, my paced dropped to a dead-man's shuffle. I pushed on to Kenmore Square, and to the finish, and then had a much need lie down under a tree in the Boston Gardens. Still, I was there. The atmosphere at Boston is like no other - it is a classic race in every sense.

But how do you get to Boston? Like me, you can try to guess what type of training you need to do run a qualifying time. Or you can pick Chris Russell's new book Marathon BQ: How to qualify for the Boston Marathon in 14 weeks.

Chris Russell is the host of the superb Run Run Live podcast. He's an experienced marathoner, who has qualified for Boston several times. More importantly, he is an excellent story teller, and his book provides a focused approach to running a qualifying time for Boston. It also provides a healthy dose of motivation.

What is the Russell's plan? Put simply, it's about speed. To qualify, you must run fast, and to do so, you must train at speed. The book lays out how this fits in with a balanced plan that fits in both speed and the necessary long runs. Russell also talks about preparation, injury, the importance of core strength, and the necessity of going to the "dark place".

This book offers a useful perspective on improving your long distance running even if you aren't a marathoner. Even though I am not training for a marathon at the moment, I have taken on some of Russell's workouts. I want to increase my speed for the half distance, and now I know what to do.

Overall, this is an excellent read, and if you are think about Boston, this book will help you get there.

I found this book to be extremely helpful in learning my way around my Canon SL-1 DSLR. I have had SLR cameras in the past, but when the digital point and shoot cameras came on the market, I moved in that direction. I currently own two P&S Nikons (Coolpix S8100 & SO1), which I will probably keep due to their size. I like the Canon SL-1 because of the size and quality. As usual, the User Manuals that come with cameras these days are OK to a degree, but you can't always get a lot of details with a manual on a computer. I find the "For Dummies" series to be very helpful, as they are usually written in an easy to understand format and cover about everything. I would highly recommend buying one for any camera you own that is "menu heavy" like the DSLR's are. It was a good investment.

Just got the camera and this book fills in the missing parts of the owners' manual. Would recommend to anyone starting of with this DSLR

Helpful and easy to read

The book is very easy to use and offers good information about the camera. it also offers suggestions - like getting a different camera strap than the one included and to carry an extra battery. It did go over some basic things that I didn't need - like how to put in a memory card for example - but some people may need those basic instructions. Recommend the book. It was helpful and worth the price.
