MAKING THE OBVIOUS FUN AND PRACTICAL

I purchased this book around 4:00 pm on 6/22/15, read until 5:30, went to a Toastmaster meeting and finished the book immediately upon arriving home. It has been a LONG time since I have read a book in such a short time. Why did I do this? Because Jackie Bailey makes the obvious, OBVIOUS; the practical, PRACTICAL, and the reading ENTERTAINING. The book is full of everyday useful ideas and suggestions on influencing others to be leaders, makes application sound so common sense that I could not help but think that I TOO can do this. One suggestion for improvement would be to have someone edit the book for grammatical and punctuation accuracy -- although not too many of these little errors appeared, when they did, they were annoying like little mosquito bites. Overall, this practical, interesting, common sense book is worth your interest, time, and application.

This book has changed the way I have thought about leading, overcoming, and the need to serve and be and have friends. The author has worked through so many difficult challenges and her optimistic view of what is possible in others and in herself is inspiring and empowering. You will be glad you read this book, if you internalize it's principles it will change your life.

A Powerful Read!

This was a wonderful read that held my interest, from beginning to end. I loved how Jackie used her personal and family experiences, throughout her life, to make it *real* and motivational as well. From this book, I actually learned that I have been somewhat of a leader for most of my life. I now know how to do it more effectively and with "full engagement". By saying "Yes", I will open my life to more experience and value. I will now strive for exceptional leadership, using the tools that I have learned in this book. I am excited and inspired! Thank you, Jackie. I am very grateful.

Beautiful Book!

"Spring is Here" is the perfect book for my preschooler! He's just learning to read and he loves the repetition of "spring is here" as it gives him confidence in his reading abilities. He loves seeing the great pictures of all the adorable animals - and me too, as the illustrations are really fantastic! It's also a book that holds the attention of my two year old, so I love having a book that meets multiple age groups. I highly recommend this book - and you should also check out the other books in this series (Autumn is Here and Winter is Here) as those are also much loved in my house!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

This is well done picture book that welcomes spring with familiar pictures of weather, activities, foods, objects, sights and sounds. The author has other books in her nature series on other seasons. Toddlers and preschoolers will delight in the simple pictures and read aloud text. Parents might want to visit the author's website for activities and recipes.

This is basically a 'bathroom reader' comprised of 1-2 minute reads. I found little that I didn't already know, but I'm 62 and have been reading the papers since my teens. It's heavy on Nazi stuff and hardly has anything to indicate women exist in any other form than spies and whores. It would probably have been a hit if published in 1955.
